The messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: If you buy a camel, then you should take hold of it’s hump and say,
“O Allah, I ask You for the goodness within her and the goodness that you have made her inclined towards, and I seek refuge with You from the evil within her and the evil that you have made her inclined towards.”
Note:
* Scholars such as Al-Albani said that the same du'a can be said when buying a car as the purpose and the goodness and evil of it are the same as a riding animal (see commentary in the etiquettes of Marriage p93)
