O Allah, I ask You as unto You is all praise, none has the right to be worshipped except You, alone, without partner. You are the Benefactor.
Originator of the heavens and the Earth, O Possessor of majesty and honour, O Ever Living, O Self-Subsisting and Supporter of all,
[Indeed I ask You for Paradise and I seek refuge with You from the Fire.]*
*This section is not in the text of the hadith but is an authentic dua from another hadith. The prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said when he heard a person recite the first dua (ending at 'supporter of all'): "Indeed you had asked Allah by His most great name, through which prayers are answered and requests are given", and asking for Jannah is one of most great things a Muslim would ask for from Allah.
